It has been quite some time since I last ventured into Sherwood and I hold little hope that anyone will recognise me. Though, for my part, I do recognise the names of some of the teachers.

Back in the day, Mr Tyzack taught me about the Romans and Mr Wood taught me about magnets. I am pleased to say that the interest in these subjects that these two teachers inspired in me has never dwindled. I pursued science and history up to A-Level. After that point I had to make the hard choice between them, and, after much reflection, I opted for science in the hope I could still pursued history at my leisure. Today, I am a second year student at Imperial College studying Theoretical Physics. I wish to profusely thank all those teachers and the school itself for making this possible by nurturing my abilities and my interests in their formative years.

im really gonna miss all you gys when i go to secondary school but sum ppl will come to my secondary school so yaaaaaay but ill still miss yall

Hello everyone at Sherwood! I am having a great time here in Dubai. The weather is lovely I am still wearing short sleeves-no need for a jumper yet! School here is very different. We start at 7.45 in the morning and finish at 3.15! The lessons are only 40min long and lunch only lasts 30 minutes! Most of the children come on the school bus- some have to travel 2 hours to get to school! But it's not all bad, they have an outdoor swimming pool and proper football pitch. Hope you are all well and working hard, missing you all lots! Miss Douglas

hi sherwood , im no longer attending sherwood (im so gutted) i was attending sherwood once a week from cricket green. I first went into mr.raven`s class,which was coooool (mr.raven is 1 coool dude) they made me feel so welcome and everyone was so friendly and kind.I then went into Ms.matharu`s class (she`s soooooo lovly) after summer break and again i was made to feel very welcome and everyone was kind and treated me nice.i had never felt so happy and at ease before at school ( i wish i could have stayed at sherwood) i never had one bad day ,anyway i just wanted to say a BIG massive thankyou to mr.tyzack for giving me the chance to come and be my self in your school.I would also like to thank mr.raven and ms.matharu (again) for being so nice to me and all the pupils.sherwood school really is wickedddd, i never had so much fun (ask my mum) goodluck to you all and hi to my friend`s i hope you all do well.takecare and peace,

I have been in Sherwood School since nursery and have enjoyed every year as much as the one before. I have liked all my teachers and my favourite subject has been history because history is about other people that have lived in the past. Another favourite subject is science because in science we are learning about teeth and seeing what will happen to them. We have put one tooth in one drink and another tooth in another drink. The drinks are ribena and diet coke. We have left them in the drinks over half term and when we get back we are going to see what they turn out like. We kept looking on Wednesday at the teeth and the one in diet coke was going black in between the roots. The ribena tooth has gone purple. I will let you know what happens after half term.

I love school,it has loads of fun things to do,and some teachers are lovely,I have lots of friends.

I am really enjoying 4r. Mr Raven is great. This website is great aswell and thankyou for the coments that you put in my contack book.I think art and science are the best lessons at school.I liked building the snowmen on Thursday it was really fun.

Anyway I just wanted to say a hello and that im doing pretty well in Bishopsford. My level in maths is a 6c and they expect me to easily get a 7, my english and science is above average. And My humanities is brilliant. ^_^ Im in the top sets in Bishopsford. My French is going very well I am a 5. One of the top in my class. It takes about 1 hour, 15 minutes to get to Sayers Croft by coach.
Bedtime is 9.00pm. Adults stay in the dormitories until all the children are asleep, so no talking is allowed after bedtiime.

Year 6 is Wonderful. This Term we have been studying peoms it is great. Mr.coulson is the funniest teacher amd the best i have ever had. Year 6 is hard but then i would think that when we settle i properly like longer in school and then go back to scholl after Christmas we would ofsettled in by then. Hi I am having a wicked time at scholl with mr.coulson and bob. I have been workin so hard at hin school and have been revising at home. hi I was in web club it was fun me and jas made a art website it is www.sherwoodart.ik.org we got to make presentations. If you click on after school and click on the computer it is about web club and the things we did.The art website has a few games and artist and about them.The art website shows famous pictures.In the web club we where called the web masters and we had to keep the sherwood websites up to date.It was very fun indeed if the web club comes again you have to do it.Mr Raven was the one who did the web club.It was the best!!!!!!!

We've enjoyed it with Mr Raven this year because he has made lots of lessons enjoyable. The lessons we've liked the most are,Art,P.E.,Science,I.C.T. and P.S.H.C.E.
There have been lots of fun clubs and school events against other schools, events like football,athleticks, hockey and challenge run.
In science we have learnt how sound is made (Through vibrations.),how a plants life cycle is and what the nine planets are and in order from the sun.Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune,Pluto.There is a ryme that helps you to remember the order that they are from the sun. My very easy method just shows us nine planets.
We've enjoyed playing cricket in P.E. alot.

hi i'm Sherena and i'm telling you a bit about year 5
Right now in science we're learning about earth, sun and moon. It's really fun because we get to make a project of the nine planets. Mr.Raven made up a cool little rhyme of how to remember the nine planets, i'll show you if you like.
My (Mercury) very (Venus) easy (Earth) method (Mars) just (Jupiter) shows (Saturn) us (Uranus) nine (Neptune) planets (Pluto).
Plus we get to make lots of cool projects like for our first project i made a volcano and it was so cool!
By the way P.E is so good because we get to play cricket. Do boys against girls because since the girls are a bit rubbish at cricket, Mr.Raven is on the girls side and we win! Go girls!
Anyway i hope that i told you enough about year 5 and i hope that you'll enjoy it as i do.

school. vithusan said that he is enjoying this school.He also said that he has already got quite a lot of friends.Vithusan can't speak english that much but he is learning quickly.He speaks Tamil and so do i so i am helping him. This year in year 5, I have enjoyed literacy and science. I like our new topic on space in
science and the story writing in literacy. Mr.Raven is great at teaching us sciene. I have
also liked cricket in P.E when I am doing the batting.At sherwood my three bestest

Hi, my name is Paris and i would like to tell you about my time in 5r. I have really enjoyed year five, i have enjoyed it with Mr Raven. Also i have improved with a lot of things like, spellings, literacy and science. I have enjoyed history, learnig about victorians. I have been enjoying P.E, because with Mr Raven we have been doing cricket. I think that i am good at cricket because i am a good batter. I don't like maths, it is my worst subject! My favourite lesson is lieracy, i love writting stories. I like them because you can let your mind think really hard. In science i enjoy doing sound,i liked it because you got to make your own instrument. I love, love doing I.C.T i like doing presentations. Soon i will be in year six.

I have liked year five for many reasons.
Firstly, we have been learning interesting topics and i have enjoyed them. Such as in Literacy a couple of terms ago we were learning about The Lady Of Shallot.
Secondly, the teacher in year five is great. We learn alot from him and he makes learning fun.
Thirdly, in P.E this year we have been doing volleyball with Miss Kotze and kwik cricket with Mr Raven.
The best subject that i have had this year is probably I.C.T. The reason why is because in I.C.T. you get to explore different websites. Such as the sherwood school website,art websites and more. In I.C.T. you also get to go onto Microsoft Powerpoint and make presentations,and you also get to go on Microsoft word and write amazing stories!
In conclusion the best thing about this year would have to be my fabulous teacher.

P.S I am really looking forward to Year 6 and i wonder what teacher i am going to have.

i like the school because i like the teacher of 5R class and i like everyone in the class. i like play cricket and i like the video lesson i like coming to sherwood sachool i like com on the computer and i like play football.

we have enjoyed year 5. we had Mr Raven as our teacher. The subjects we have enjoyed are Art , p.e and science . The reason we have enjoyed Art is because we done big peices of work from the authour Jackson Pollock. The reason i have enjoyed P.E is because we did kwik cricket and athletics , we enjoyed kwik cricket better . The reson we have enjoyed science is because we had someone come and we went inside a learning dome and learnt so much ! Also we have enjoyed science when we had big projects to do ! Thats all for now bye !

Year 5 has been great! I have enjoyed it so much. Mr. Raven is a brilliant teacher, not just because he helps us when we dont understand something, but also he is funny and he makes lessons enjoyable.
The lessons I enjoy the most are story writing in literecy, presiontations in I.C.T, times tables in maths and non-stop cricket in P.E. At play time my favourate game is football.
I have made three best friends in sherwood called Bernice, Amber and Rebecca Yansen.
I think this year has been the best year I've had because I have learned lots of new things (like the order of the nine plannets for instance), its been a bit of a challege, but most importantly it has been fun! .

We have rearly loved this year ,it has been the best yet!!! we think your the best and ,chilled out teacher. This year we have liked... P.E, art, I.C.T ,history, and some english. Charlie abolutly hates maths but I love it. rebekah hates most scince but I love it.We have rearly loved being in your class and we are realy looking forword to year 6.

Hi, this is Naomi+Rebecca. This year has been exelent! we have really enjoyd the work and fun we have had.This year we have been doing poems,storys,plays,nouns and verbs,comprehensions and much more. In science we have been doing solids, liquids and gases,sound ,shadows ,sun,moon and earth and planets.We have been tought an easy way to remember what order the planets are in. This is the method, my very easy method just shows us nine planets. This is the order of the planets, mercury,venus,earth,mars,jupiter,saturn ,uranus,neptune and ploto. In maths we have been doing subtraction,addition,multiplying,division,place value and lots and lots more.In P.E.we have been doing dance,cricket,racing,football,netball and basketball.In I.C.T. we have been doing presentatins,data handeling and much more.hope you enjoy school and we can't wait to go to year six.bye.

Hi we are going to tell you about are self . we are in year5 it has been great in year5.We nomarly play cricket in P.E with mr Raven and the class.On wednesday we play volley ball with miss Kotze she is our P.E teacher.In science weave been learning about Earth,space and the moon.

Me and ben have liked year 5 very much.We like are teacher very much.Our teacher gives us exerlant lesson like art and i.c.t .In p.e we have been playing volleyball with miss kotze and kwik cricket with mr raven.If you go on our school website you can see some of work and there is some maths and litracy games.We are good at i.c.t and we like it a lot.But when it comes to SATS we hate it a lot.on fridays we have a boy coming in and we play football with him and now we have a new boy he can not speak english so menan helps him speak english he is learning very well.

In year 5 its the best. Mr Ravenis the best teacher i,ve had.In science we,ve been learning about earth moon and sun.In PSHE WE ARE learning sex education.In p.e. we are doing cricet and volley ball

The Sherwood Summer Fair will be on Saturday 8th July and run from 12 noon until 3pm. This year our theme will be the World Cup, so dig out your England kits or your team kits ready for the day.

I hope all is well with all of you. We are all well here and the summer is endless. It was
about 87degF here today and most of the week.
I hope you will all read this. Another child in Ojiugo's Maths class has copied this web address and has said that he will send unpleasant messages through this site under Ojiugo's name. This is being dealt with by her class teacher as she is worried you all may believe that it is really from her.
I found out today and I am happy this site is moderated so hopefully he was joking and it won't get through to here if he writes anything.
They miss all of you. They have a slightly different system here so no Easter break but they finish end of May and restart begining of August.
